Price rises are hitting Australians from every angle, from airfares to supermarket shelves, and with those difficult decisions comes intense scrutiny from paying customers.


 If you're preparing to communicate an unpopular decision, consider this really helpful video by CEO of PURE PR Phoebe Netto, as your rule book. Pricing decisions in particular are not judged on economics alone. They are judged on perception. 


When faced with a price hike, the public will inevitably ask a simple question: Is this necessary, or is it opportunistic?


At some point, every business will need to deliver news that your customers do not want to hear. The ones that maintain trust are those who clearly and honestly communicate their way through it.
